70 Mile Application

The 70.5 mile indiviual race is sold out, as of 12-20-14. Any application we receive that has a postmark later than 12-20-14 will be returned. We will keep a waiting list. If you would like to be added to the waiting list, please send me a note and I will add your name to the list on a first-come, first served basis. Those on the waiting list will be notified if a slot becomes available. I will start at the top of the list and roll down until the slot is filled. The 50K individual race is also full as of 4-19-15. The 70.5 mile and 50K Team Relay races still have a few entries slots available.

As a unique regional race, we never required a lottery to determine who was allowed entry. We are going to make every attempt to keep it that way. We will accept the first 130 entries received via the US Mail. There will be no on-line registration, and all entries must include a check with the full entry fee. Race management has also reserved a limited number of entries for folks who have spent significant time volunteering and promoting the race over the years.

Once your entry is accepted, there will be no refunds, deferrals or transfers for any reason.

Welcome to the home page for the thirty-sixth running of the Laurel Highlands Ultra, one of the finest trail races in the United States. The 70.5 mile race traverses the entire Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail in southwestern Pennsylvania, combining beautiful scenery with challenging terrain. Please plan to join us on the second Saturday in June as the tradition continues on this pristine trail.
