70 Mile Application
AS OF 12-28-13 THE 70.5 INDIVIDUAL RACE IS SOLD OUT. WE WILL ACCEPT ANY APPLICATIONS THAT ARE POSTMARKED
12-28-13 OR EARLIER. WE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY APPLICATIONS THAT ARE MAILED OR SENT VIA COURIER
(I.E. UPS, FEDEX, PRIOIRTY MAIL, ETC.) THAT ARE DATED LATER THAN 12-28-13.
WE WILL KEEP A SMALL WAITING LIST. IF SLOTS BECOME AVAILABLE, WE WILL NOTIFY THE NEXT PERSON ON THE WAITING LIST. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE ON THE WAITING LIST, PLEASE SEND ME A NOTE, OR E-MAIL INDICATING THAT YOU WOULD LIKE INCLUDED. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT OF THE RACE, SORRY THAT WE HAD TO LIMIT THE NUMBER OF ENTRIES. WE WILL SEE ALL OF YOU THAT ARE REGISTERED IN JUNE.
Prior to 2013 there was no field limit on the race. Due to increased interest, the race will have a limit of 130 runners. As a unique regional race, we never required a lottery to determine who was allowed entry. We are going to attempt to keep it that way. We will accept the first 130 entries received via the US Mail. There will be no on-line registration, and all entries must include a check with the full entry fee. Race management has also reserved a limited number of entries for folks who have spent significant time volunteering and promoting the race over the years.
Once your application is accepted, there will be no refunds, deferrals or transfers for any reason.
Welcome to the home page for the thirty-fifth running of the Laurel Highlands Ultra, one of the finest trail races in the United States. The 70.5 mile race traverses the entire Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail in southwestern Pennsylvania, combining beautiful scenery with challenging terrain. Please plan to join us on the second Saturday in June as the tradition continues on this pristine trail.

Special thanks to the Pennsylvania state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) for allowing the use of the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail for this race.
