Historically you’d be digging out a dusty checkbook, making sure stamp prices haven’t gone up since last year and obsessively clicking the application link on this green website. Not this year!
As the world and ultra community continues to evolve and reshape,
Laurel Highlands Ultra is no exception. 2022 Registration will be a
lottery drawing! We believe the lottery drawing will offer many racers
the opportunity to join the event and bring some great energy as LHU
enters it’s 5th decade of racing.
In honor of the decades long tradition we’ll still be accepting mailings. But this year it will be in postcard form. Mail in a postcard from your hometown by Dec 15th and you’ll be entered into the secondary “lottery”. A winner will be chosen at random to receive a limited edition 2022 Laurel HIghlands Hoodie.
Here are the important upcoming dates:

If you are chosen in the lottery your credit card on file will be charged. Then you will receive an email from UltraSignup with Instructions on how to complete your registration. You will have 3 days to login and complete it. There will be some lottery spots reserved for groups that the RDs are working directly with in order to build a more diverse, equitable and inclusive trail race and LHU community.
Safety
The 2022 race will be a single day event, with both distances racing on Saturday, June 11, 2022. Currently, we do not expect any restrictions to the race format due to COVID 19 mitigation efforts. But please be aware that local officials may impose regulations between now and the event date. We will send you updates on race formats and participant expectations as we get closer to race weekend!
