As of December 2009, the bridge that carries the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail over the PA Turnpike has been closed. The DCNR informed us that the bridge was closed due to structural deficiencies. The bridge closing will affect the 70.5 mile race, it will not affect the 50k race.
Welcome to the home page for the Laurel Highlands Ultra races. Each year the race is held on the second Saturday in June. In 2010 we will celebrate the thirty-first running of the 70.5 mile race, the fifth running of the 50K race, and the inaugural 50k team relay. The races will start in Ohiopyle, with the 70.5 mile individual and relay races running the entire length of the trail and the 50K races finishing at the 31 mile point near the intersection of route 31. All races are point-to-point along the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail. For more information, please click on one of the race links above.
