Wayne and Jan continue to raise the bar at the annual Greek Fun Run. This year there will be a 24 hour run for those of you who would like to get started on Friday evening.

This is the perfect run for those of you who are training for a fall marathon or ultra run. You can run with many of the areas best long distance runners and gleen some valuable endurance racing knowledge.

Start/Finish Area - The Kurtz Residence, 10575 Kummer Road, Wexford, PA 15090 (look for the log home).

Course - Single track running trails around the North Park Golf Course and two small sections of road (crossing Kummer Road). This fun run will be good preparation for those of you running fall marathons and ultra-marathons.

Distance - This will be a timed run. You run as many loops as you want in 6, 12 or 24 hours. The double loop course consists of two seperate trails, each measuring approximately 4 miles. We have awards for the most laps run in 6, 12 and 24 hours. If you don't want to run 6, 12 or 24 hours, you are welcome to come and run whatever distance you would like. From one lap to 24 hours, and everyone is invited to the post run feast.

Aid Station - Wayne and Jan will have an Aid Station set up in their yard. The station will have Water and various "Treats and Sweets". You will have access to the aid station on every loop. You may also bring your own favorite food and drink.

Parking - At the Kurtz Home, with overflow parking at North Park Grove on Kummer Road.

Awards Ceremony - Begins at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, lasts about two (2) minutes - so we can get to the food.

Best Feature (other than the running) - Feast/Cookout at the Kurtz Residence.

Why the Greek name? - Wayne's wife Jan is the "Greek" and will be preparing all the food!!!

Entry Confirmation - Let Wayne Kurtz or Rick Freeman know if you plan on running and staying for the feast, so Jan knows how much food to make. Respond via e-mail to Wayne or Rick (our addresses are below).

Fee - None (donations will be accepted to defer food expense).

2012 will mark the fourth edition of the Greek Fun Run. The early editions were huge successes, thanks to the hospitality of Wayne and Jan Kurtz, and this one promises to be just as fun. This will also be the first year of the 24 hour run, so come out and run all, or part, of the time, and plan on staying and enjoying the feast that will follow.
