As the Laurel Highlands Ultra moves into its fifth decade of racing, we are pleased to announce a transition in race management.

After twenty years of managing the Laurel Highlands Ultra Races, current management has determined that it is time to pass the baton. Joe and Paul Butchko started the Laurel Highlands Race forty years ago, following the opening of the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail. After twenty years of managing the Race, the Butchko's passed the torch to current race management and in similar manner, current race management are happy to announce that Redpoint Productions will take over management of this event following required permit transfers. Current management will assist with the 2020 Race and intend to remain with the Race as volunteers.

We are thankful that we are able to transfer management of the Race to such a capable group as Redpoint, who understands, appreciates and intends to maintain the unique culture of this event. Redpoint's President, Dann Landau-Gahres, who serves as the Senior Race Director, acknowledges Laurel Highlands Ultra's rich history of endurance running as remarkable and is passionate about keeping this tradition alive in Western Pennsylvania. Redpoint has produced over two hundred (200) race events and has been engaged in race management for ten years. Redpoint is unique in its community-first approach to event planning and focuses on participant experience and in maintaining unique community cultures.

More likely than not, racers will not even realize that there has been a transfer of management because Redpoint is committed to maintaining Laurel Highlands rich and unique race traditions.

Thank you for accepting and welcoming Redpoint Productions as your new race management and director.
